Interior Designer based in Royal Tunbridge Wells

About Me

I started my career in women’s fashion design, and after a successful career spanning 15 years I left to pursue my other passion; home and interiors. Taking my love for colour, pattern, texture, and textiles, I retrained in interior design.

With hands-on experience in property renovation, both personal and for clients, I am well-versed in the intricacies of overseeing design projects and the many and varied decisions required in bringing your dream scheme to life. My aim for your home is to deliver the upmost practicality without compromising on design.

  • "We were really struggling to visualise how our bathroom would look with a new layout and unsure whether the space would work. With Clare's insight and expertise, we were able to find a layout that really worked for us and she gave us the confidence to choose some interesting colours and textures that we may have otherwise shied away from. I cannot recommend her enough."

  • "After inheriting an outdated wet room with a new house purchase, Clare was able to help us see the true potential of the space, turning it into a colourful, characterful and practical new shower room with innovative storage solutions."

About Clare Connolly Interiors

At the heart of Clare Connolly Interior Design is my desire to help you enjoy your home and make it work for you, while maximising its functionality and its beauty. It is no exaggeration that a home perfectly tailored to those who live in it can be life-enhancing.

Based in Royal Tunbridge Wells, I specialise in creating luxurious and highly functional homes throughhout Kent and East Sussex.

While I love to work on any/all rooms in a home, I have a special place in my heart for bathrooms. The bathroom can be a pain point for many people, and as one of the hardest-working (and often smallest) rooms in the house, they need to be really well considered. The last thing you want is an expensive room makeover which then doesn’t function as you need it to.

Why Do I need an Interior Designer?

People have many reasons for working with me, you might relate to one of the below.

  • You have an idea of how you want your home to look but just don’t have the time or resources to do it yourself.

  • The fear of making a costly mistake; bathrooms and kitchens in particular are big investments with finishes that are not quick or easy to change.

  • No room is an island - you want to make sure your rooms flow beautifully and ‘speak’ to each other.

  • Perhaps you don’t want or need your whole home renovated but you’re struggling to find a designer who will agree to design just one or two rooms.

  • You live in a period home with awkward spaces and insufficient storage, and you need a bespoke design solution to suit your specific needs.

  • Maybe you’ve had a loft conversion and you want an end result more interesting than the white box the loft company presents you with.
